You get a lot of speaking practice and during our conversation I listen, I take notes, I ask questions and I challenge you with new topics
We focus on oral comprehension with concrete pronunciation activities: I show you what to change on your pronunciation and how to change it
We work on conversation patterns to build natural responses in daily life situations and we study grammar with an emphasis on practical usage
You learn vocabulary in context and I show you how to create mnemonics systems to connect new words to others you already know
you leave the session with a smile and feeling good about yourself progressively moving away from translation fog to clarity in French
In my classes and groups, we work on your language goals but we also focus on the mindset you need to succeed in French.
I’m Sandrine, a language lover and a French teacher with a few hats on my head. Before teaching French, I worked in communications helping brands create their own language and then I became a Montessori educator with a focus on Language development. Language and specifically language learning has always been my passion.
For 12 years now, I’ve been guiding adults into switching to French and build a real sense of “functionality” when speaking the language.
I consider myself as a learning partner, showing the way to fluency in French and creating individualized strategies for each person I work with.
When I don’t teach French, I learn languages, I dance and I travel.
Right now I’m learning Portuguese, here are a few of my goals.
